Below is a needs list for the one-woman show Shirley Chisholm: Unbossed & Unbowed

Length of Performance: 

There are two versions of Shirley Chisholm: Unbossed & Unbowed. One is 80 minutes long, the other is  60 minutes long and both are without an intermission. Shirley Chisholm: Unbossed & Unbowed has visuals, music and some lighting cues. Unbossed & Unbowed Performer, Ingrid Griffith (herein known as UU Performer), will provide the music and visuals for the solo show, Shirley Chisholm: Unbossed & Unbowed, that are preset in a software program called Q-Lab (Version 5.0.) and the show’s prompt book (script with cues for AV Technician and Stage Manager).

Needed:

1. A traditional or non-traditional theater space.

2. A working (a) projector; (b) projection screen; (c) sound system and equipment which may include up to and including speakers, amplifiers, audio cables, compatible with UU Performer’s MacBook computer.

3. Working lights in the space. Note: There are simple lighting cues noted throughout the script. Changing of lighting is not necessary.

4.  AV Technician: Person(s) with knowledge of the equipment and technical needs in the space to run music and visuals for Unbossed & Unbowed; and is experienced operating the soft ware program called Q-Lab (Version 5.0.) on UU Performer’s MacBook computer; and  call cues in the show’s Prompt Book.

5.  Stage Manager / Stagehand: A person to assist AV Technician and UU Performer at tech rehearsal and cue-to-cue on the day of the performance.

6. Wi Fi system and password to access internet service, if needed.

7.  The Set: (1) Two sturdy straight back wooden chairs without arms; (2) a 6’ screen or theater’s curtain to work as a divide; (3) a  podium  or music stand.

8. Prop: (1) a working bullhorn. Note: UU Performer will provide it if your Organization does not have one.

9.  A working lavaliere microphone or headset depending on size of room or audience. 

10.  (a) A three-hour Tech Rehearsal must be scheduled close to the Performance Date(s) in the space with UU Performer, AV Technician  and Stage Manager / Stagehand. A Cue-to-Cue must be scheduled in the space two hours before the show on the day of the performance(s) with UU Performer, AV Technician and Stage Manager / Stagehand and Technical Assistant at the Venue.

11.  A room close to stage for UU Performer to prepare, change and store personal belongings.

12.  Someone assigned to get audience in their seats; monitor audience — making sure audience members are not taking pics and/or videotaping the Performance; making sure cell phones and electronic devices are turned off.

13. A non-refundable Deposit of $500 must be sent to UU Performer, Ingrid Griffith, to secure the date(s) your Organization would like  to  host the show(s). The $500 non-refundable Deposit goes towards the UU Performer’s fee. The Deposit will be sent to UU  Performer  via Zelle, Venmo or regular mail as early as possible to guarantee the desired Performance Date; and no later than 12 weeks  before the desired Performance Date(s).  Note: Only when the Deposit is received is the desired Performance Date(s)  guaranteed.

14. A Contract Agreement UU Performer or your Organization will provide that includes the aforementioned and to be signed by both parties (your Organization and UU Performer) no later than 12 weeks before the scheduled Performance Date(s).

Staff Needed at Tech Rehearsal and Performance:

1. Your Organization’s AV Technician. Note: UU Performer can provide one. To inquire about UU Performer’s AV    Technician’s fee contact: info@unbossedunbowed.com

2. Your Organization’s Stage Manager / Stagehand, someone to assist AV Technician and UU Performer at Tech Rehearsal and on the day of Performance(s). Note: UU Performer can provide one. To inquire about UU Performer’s Stage Manager / Stagehand’s fee contact: info@unbossedunbowed.com

3. Tech Assistant, the person at your Organization in charge of the operations of the equipment and technical needs (sound system, projector, projections screen, cables, lights, etc.).

Your organization is responsible for the following:

1. UU Performer’s roundtrip airfare, lodging, meal stipend and ground transportation for the duration of the production at your  Organization. To inquire about UU Performer/Ingrid Griffith’s Performance Fee contact: info@unbossedunbowed.com

2. UU Performer must receive payment on the Performance Date by check or electronically via Venmo or  Zelle.

Marketing/Promotions:

1.  UU Performer will provide your Organization with the assets for the show — UU logo, photos, fonts, sample layout, etc., to create a flyer for the show.

2.  The name of the show on all materials as follows: SHIRLEY CHISHOLM: UNBOSSED & UNBOWED A One-Woman Show by Ingrid  Griffith

3.  Your Organization will promote/market the performances on its website, bulletin boards, emails, media websites, local establishments, etc.

4.  UU Performer will help promote/market the performances via Unbossed & Unbowed social media platforms, e-blasts, newsletters,  etc.

5. UU Performer will be available for interviews with local media organizations your Organization will schedule.
